Purple Hill Lavender Farm is a family-run lavender farm that has vast rolling hills of gorgeous lavenders located in the town of Creemore. The farm offers an Instagram-worthy luxury picnic that includes a set-up that includes pillows, candles and more. Enjoy a delicious charcuterie box made by a local restaurant that includes a variety of cheese, meats and fresh veggies.

A country escape just outside the city, Avalon Lavender Farm has plenty of activities including cutting your own lavender. Lavender Polo Farm is a family business that spreads across around 155 acres just 40 minutes north of downtown Toronto making it the largest lavender farm in Ontario. Bring your own basket full of delicious bites and goodies and a blanket for a nice picnic in the fields, or opt for a VIP picnic bundle that includes lavender lemonade, a jug of water on a two-seater picnic table with a tablecloth, a mirror and two glasses however, you do need to bring your own food and seating blankets. Bonnieheath Estate Lavender and Winery is one of the best spots to go for a picnic this summer. With different picnic packages available, they’ll set up a picnic at one of their many beautiful locations like the gazebo, deck, pond or among the lavender plants. If you plan on bringing your own food, an Outside Food Picnic Pass is needed for purchase to enjoy an adorable picnic anywhere on the property.

Apple Hill Lavender

Named one of “Norfolk’s Amazing Places”, Apple Hill Lavender is a century-old family farm featuring rolling hills of luscious lavender fields amidst the third-generation apple orchard. You can bring your own picnic lunch or try some snacks and ice cream from their Bakehouse and dine under the gorgeous old apple trees on the farm.

No reservation is needed to visit the farm but reservations are highly encouraged if you want to have a picnic within the scenic fields.

South Bay Fields

This 18-acre farm boasts thousands of lavender plants, sunflowers, wildflowers and free-range chickens. Grab your blanket, bring some food and bask in the plenty of spacious green areas South Bay Fields have. Although they don’t have food available for purchase on-site, if you’re just looking to wind down and have a picnic with your own food, this is the place to be.
