Halloween on Food Network Canada doesn’t get better than with Halloween Wars. And it’s back for Season 12 unlike any other seasons before. Nine teams of cake, sugar and pumpkin artists unite to prove their skills are scary good, and Zak Bagans is taking the teams to some of the most haunted places in the world to inspire the most frightening cake creations ever. Host and judge Eddie Jackson, along with judges Shinmin Li and Aarti Sequeira, will award one team the title of Halloween Wars Champion and a trip to one of the most beautiful and haunted cities in the world – Paris, France.
Zak Bagans
Back for his second season, paranormal investigator Zak is back as the main personality to lead this spooky and delicious competition. Besides hosting the show, he has been really busy this year. He has signed a three-year contract with Discovery + to produce supernatural and horror content. When he isn’t working on those projects, he owns and operates The Haunted Museum in Las Vegas and he is writing books (as he is a New York Times best-selling author).
Shinmin Li
This cake artist, pastry chef and American TV personality is back to judge this high stakes competition for another year. (You might also recognize her from Holiday Wars.) A mom, Shinmin is the co-founder of Kora Community, a service that brings skilled chefs to homes.
Aarti Sequeira
According to Aarti’s Instagram, she is a “Jesus geek, wife, mum, and cookbook author.” She is also one of the awesome returning judges on Halloween Wars and Holiday Wars, as well as Guy’s Grocery Games. Fun fact: Last season’s sour candy tasting on Halloween Wars was so pretty intense, making Aarti and her co-judges rethink their love of sour candies.
Eddie Jackson
Eddie is not only the host and a judge on Halloween Wars, he is currently the host of the Food Network Canada’s Christmas Cookie Challenge and the Cooking Channel’s Yum & Yummer. He is also a frequent judge on Beat Bobby Flay, Guy’s Grocery Games and Food Network Canada’s Fire Masters. Now a food truck owner, private chef and personal trainer, he is dedicated to making healthy food taste absolutely delicious.
