Ina Garten is giving us major vacay and food inspiration as she posts her must-try spots across Paris on Instagram. The star (AKA everyone’s favourite coastal grandmother) is going from cafes to boulangeries – and we get to go along for the ride. Read on to see the places and foods Ina is obsessed with having while in the City of Lights (and don’t forget to take notes!).
The perfect Parisian café
Ina loves her rosé and let’s be honest, so do we! To get a glass, Ina stops at Cafe de Flore, a Paris institution that is known for hosting famous writers and artists. The fact that it’s one of the oldest coffee houses in Paris doesn’t hurt either.

Pretty French flowers
As the saying goes, “When in Rome…”or in Ina’s case, “When in Paris…”one must get fresh flowers, right? Ina goes to Adrien M Floriste because as she says, “Paris isn’t Paris without a gorgeous bouquet of flowers.” (And we couldn’t agree more.)
The flakiest pastries
Ina is the first to admit that her life is dreamy. In a photo of croissants and pain du chocolates from famed bakery Poilane, she captions this sentiment reminiscing over how it all started decades ago when her and Jeffrey were younger and had little money to spend. Oh, how sweet life has turned out!
A fragrant fromagerie
Cheese, please! Ina says her apartment is right around the corner from Barthelemy, a cheese shop near the Invalides area of Paris. From the reviews, the local shop carries cheeses from around all the regions in France and Europe from “stinky unpasteurized” varieties to truffle Manchego. Sounds like a tasting we could get behind.
Breakfast of champions
It couldn’t be more simple, yet so satisfying. For breakfast, a cafe au lait AKA latte, a loaf of fresh crispy baguette with butter and some jam is all it takes to make Ina (and Jeffrey) very happy. And us.

Lunch of champions
Ina, stop! Our favourite hostess continues her food tour with a post from Cafe Varenne. A beautiful salad with warm goat cheese and frites is making our hearts swoon – and our mouths drool.
The dreamiest grocery store
Ina calls this the best specialty food store in the world – and we’re taking notes. La Grande Epicerie de Paris is located in the 7th district (arrondissement) and it’s an entire city block, carrying every “imaginable wine and food,” says Ina. This is a spot we’ve added to our bucket list.
