Kids Baking Championship: Meet the Cute Contestants Baking Up a Storm on Season 10

Sarah, 10, who is from Knoxville, TN, loves baking, but she’s also into arts and crafts and plays the piano. She’s excited to be on the show after watching it at home, and says the experience was overall very cool. “To be able to do it was just like crazy and mind-blowing,” Sarah told the Knox News. “So that was super cool and it was just super fun.” On the show, watch out for her killer buttercream and yummy sugar cookies.

Nadya, 10, from Knoxville, TN, grew up watching cooking and baking shows instead of cartoons, and now she can’t wait to show the rest of the world what she’s learned. So what is her favourite thing to bake? “I honestly don’t have a favourite thing,” she told the Knox News. “But probably I like to make cupcakes because I can play around with the design and the flavours.” Watch out for her specialty, green tea cupcakes with lychee buttercream.

When the pandemic hit, many of us experimented with sourdough starters or made extra banana bread. This Garde 4 student from McLean, VA, took her love of baking even further, not knowing it would eventually land her on the show. “It’s a very big accomplishment just to get on the show. Hundreds of people apply and try again,” Finley, 9, told Yahoo Life. “Seeing all these kid bakers just like me was really fun.”

This savvy Grade 5 student from Cincinnati first fell in love with Kids Baking Championship in the earlier days of the pandemic, when she began watching the show with her aunt. She was immediately inspired, and applied to be on the show herself. In an interview with the Cincinnati Enquirer, Lucia revealed her favourite thing to bake is cakes. “I love to draw and I love to decorate,” she said. “It’s like having a piece of paper that’s actually cake and I can draw whatever I want on it.”

Ellora from Yorba Linda, CA, isn’t the youngest baker to step into the kitchen this season, but at nine-years-old, she’ll definitely be facing a few older contestants on her path to sugary success. It kind of puts whatever we were doing at nine to shame, no?

We don’t know much about this young baker heading into the first episode of the new season. However, that makes us even more excited to see what kinds of delicious concoctions the Huntington Beach, CA native is going to surprise the judges and his fellow contestants with.

This young baker hails from York, PA, otherwise known as the White Rose City. So while we’re pretty confident Caroline, 10, will be frosting up some pretty delicious concoctions during her run on the show, we’re also kind of hoping for a buttercream white rose homage or two.

This Kids Baking Championship hopeful hails from Fort Myers, FL, which makes us immediately conjure up images of blue skies and pretty beaches. Whether or not Riya, 11, incorporates either of those elements into her baked goods is unclear, but we can’t wait to find out.

This kid baker from San Diego, CA, is all about his craft, even at such a young age (he is 10). Sure, he’s also into Tae Kwon Do, golf, dance and chess, but take one look at his Instagram page and you can totally tell that he’s sweet on sweets. Here’s hoping we get to see some of his show-sto8pping cupcakes, cookies and cakes on the show.

This Garde 5 student from Yorba Linda, CA, has been into baking since before she could even reach the counter, but now that she’s a little taller she can’t wait to show the world at large all of the delicious and delectable things that she can actually do.

This Atlanta native is ready to bring it when the show debuts, and if her creative and colourful hair is any indication of what to expect, then we can’t wait to see the beautiful desserts and goodies this young baker will expertly whip up.

The youngest contestant of the bunch, Benjamin who is eight-years-old started cooking with his dad when he was two-and-a-half. “I’ve been practicing since I was like three years old, [so] I’ve been baking my entire life!” Benjamin told local radio show Magic 98.3 when the hosts asked him how he knew what to make on the show. As for what the judges like? “Duff loves peanut butter and chocolate,” he revealed.
