Shake Shack Canada has finally announced where it will open its doors in Toronto, and the much-anticipated news couldn’t come any sooner.
Many people have been waiting for Shake Shack to open in Toronto. While Canada is filled with delicious burgers, adding another favourite spot to the list doesn’t hurt.
But the news gets even better! The first Canadian location will have an exclusive Canadian menu with special menu items only available in the Great White North.

Where are Shake Shack Canada’s locations?
The first Shake Shack in Canada will open in Toronto’s busy Yonge and Dundas Square, and it will be massive. The fast-food restaurant will take up 5,500 square feet on the square’s northeast corner.
In 2023, the fast food chain announced that it plans to open 35 locations in Canada by 2035. But for the moment, the only location with an official opening date is in Toronto, which means if you want to try the delicious burgers, you’ll have to make your way to the downtown core.

What’s on Shake Shack Canada’s menu?
Canadians can expect to enjoy delicious classics from the worldwide menu, such as ShackBurgers and crinkle-cut fries. However, Richmond shared that the menu will also include “Canadian exclusives” developed with “local culinary partners.”
We don’t know exactly what will be on the menu, but we do know that Canadian flavours will shine bright.
Shake Shack announced that Canadians will be able to enjoy a “Maple Salted Pretzel Shake.” This Toronto-exclusive shake features Shake Shack’s signature vanilla frozen custard with Canadian maple syrup. In other words, they took a classic and added a Canadian twist, and we’re totally here for it.
When will Shake Shack open in Toronto?
Shake Shack’s Canadian flagship store is set to open in Yonge and Dundas Square in Toronto in the summer of 2024.
