There are a few staples when it comes to the fall: cozy sweaters, warm baked goods and pumpkin. But we argue that there is another staple that goes hand in hand with sweater weather and that would be Starbucks fall drinks. Most notably, the Pumpkin Spice Latte. Well, fall is (unofficially) here and so is the iconic fall drink. This year, the Pumpkin Spice Latte is back alongside three new fall drinks on the Starbucks menu. So if you’re looking for a new fall sip, read on for our review and ranking of these new crisp drinks.

This year, the Starbucks fall drinks were released on August 22. This is the earliest that the fall drinks have ever returned to the menu, which further proves that Starbucks can’t get enough of their fall line-up — just like us!

3. Iced Caramel Apple Cream Latte

The Iced Caramel Apple Cream Latte is a combination of espresso, milk, apple, cinnamon and brown sugar served over ice and topped with a salted caramel cream foam. If you like sweet drinks, then you will love this bevvy because it ultra sweet. The caramel, apple and brown sugar help to make this one of the sweetest sips we’ve ever tried at Starbucks. It is a very milky drink and caramel is definitely at the forefront of the flavour profile. While we didn’t dislike this drink, it was a bit too creamy and sweet for our liking so we don’t know if we would try it again. But if you have a strong sweet tooth, we think you may enjoy it.

2. Iced Apple Crisp Nondairy Chai

A combination of chai, oat beverage and topped with a nondairy apple crisp cold foam, the Iced Apple Crisp Nondairy Chai originated as a popular customer customization. Starbucks says that this drink is reminiscent of a homemade apple pie and we definitely agree. We immediately tasted the apple pie flavours and were transported to a fall wonderland. It is sweet and very apple-forward. The chai flavour is not as present as it is in other chai drinks, but we still get a hint of those spicy flavours. This drink is perfect for one of those warmer fall days early in the season, and we look forward to drinking it again.

1. Iced Honey Apple Almond Flat White

The Iced Honey Apple Almond Flat White combines blonde espresso and almond beverage poured over ice with a hint of honey and the nondairy apple crisp cold foam. This drink was absolutely our favourite of the three new beverages. It is the most coffee-forward in its flavour and while it is still sweet, it is not overwhelmingly sweet. The flavour is light, nutty and the drink is super creamy. It also feels super unique and interesting among all the pumpkin we always see during this season. This is one drink we will be adding into our regular rotation this fall.

How much are the Starbucks fall drinks?

Depending on your region, a grande Pumpkin Spice Latte retails for about $6. A grande Iced Caramel Apple Cream Latte, Iced Apple Crisp Nondairy Chai or Iced Honey Apple Almond Flat White all retail for about $7.

Where can I find the Starbucks fall drinks?

You can order the Starbucks fall drinks in-store or through the Starbucks app.

What else is new at Starbucks this fall?

Three new apple drinks are not the only new offerings at Starbucks this fall. The coffee chain has also released two new baked goods to celebrate the season. The Baked Apple Croissant is layers of croissant dough wrapped around an apple filling and topped with sugar. It is warm, soft and so delicious. It’s sweet and the perfect on-the-go treat. Starbucks has also introduced a Raccoon Cake Pop which is vanilla cake and buttercream dipped in chocolate icing and decorated to resemble a raccoon perfectly. This cake pop is sweet and perhaps the only time we’ll be happy to see a Raccoon near our Starbucks. Returning to the fall bakery line-up are the Fox Sugar Cookie, Pumpkin Cream Cheese Muffin and the Pumpkin and Pepita Loaf.

Another new launch at Starbucks is the first ever Starbucks and Stanley Cup collaboration to launch in Canada. Alongside six other new cold cups and tumblers, customers can finally get their hands on a 40-ounce Starbucks and Stanley Quencher cup. It is available in the classic Starbucks olive-green so we couldn’t think of a better way to introduce this iconic collab north of the border. The Starbucks Stanley cup retails for about $76. We have a feeling these Stanley Cups won’t last long, though, so if you are an avid Stanley Cup collector you better move quick!
