Sometimes on a hot summer day, there is no better way to beat the heat than with a cooling Starbucks refresher. The sweetness of flavours like mango dragonfruit, pineapple passionfruit, and strawberry acai mixed with lemonade and served over ice always hit the spot. And now, you can cool down with your favourite refresher drinks in a new icy form with the new Frozen Pineapple Passionfruit Lemonade, Frozen Strawberry Acai Lemonade and Frozen Mango Dragonfruit Lemonade.
These icy treats feature the classic refresher flavours and are blended with real fruit pieces and lemonade “for a refreshingly frozen, tropical escape in a cup” according to Starbucks.
In addition to these three new icy drinks, Starbucks is also releasing a new egg treat in honour of summer. The potato, cheddar, and chive bakes will be available year-round and are sure to add some competition to the fan-favourite egg bites.
Because it’s going to be hard for you to choose which frozen lemonade refresher to try first, we tried them all to help you decide. Here’s our honest review and ranking from best to worst.

1. Frozen Strawberry Acai Lemonade
Made with real strawberries, this frozen treat is sweet, sour and perfect for summer. The flavours are strong but not overpowering, which makes for a tasty sip and our favourite of the three new drinks. We could definitely see little ones enjoying this drink as it’s very similar to a strawberry lemonade slushy, but the acai adds a little extra kick. We know we will be sipping on it all summer long to keep us cool.
2. Frozen Pineapple Passionfruit Lemonade
If you’re not able to take a tropical vacation this summer, this drink is the next best thing. One sip and you’ll be instantly transported to a tropical sandy beach. The real chunks of pineapple blended in are reminiscent of a classic pina colada and the flavour of passionfruit adds an extra tropical element. We also secretly think a little bit of rum would add an extra punch to this sweet beverage.

3. Frozen Mango Dragonfruit Lemonade
While this is at the bottom of our rankings, this fruity drink is still yummy and worth trying. We especially loved the gorgeous colour and we will be using it as inspiration next time we go to the nail salon. Blended with real dragonfruit pieces, we just found it slightly too sweet for our everyday liking. That said, we’ll definitely be ordering it again at least once more this summer when we’re having a sugar craving.
All drinks are now available at Starbucks across Canada. Prices vary across Canada but can be found in-store or through the Starbucks app.
