What does the Taco Bell Cantina Chicken menu taste like?
We found it very interesting how the same chicken could taste different in the four menu items. The Cantina Chicken menu is perfect for people who love Taco Bell but aren’t necessarily big fans of ground beef or beans. The chicken was flavourful and juicy but not too chewy. We have a definite favourite but we did enjoy all these items.

1. Cantina Chicken Crispy Taco
The Cantina Chicken Crispy Taco features a crunchy taco shell with melted cheese on the exterior and is filled with the new slow-roasted chicken, three-cheese blend and creamy jalapeno sauce. This was our favourite because we loved the contrast of the crunchy shell, the juicy chicken and the creamy jalapeno sauce. The sauce added a kick to the taco which was balanced nicely with the cheese and taco shell (although we did add some Taco Bell Fire Sauce because we love the heat). Melty mashups are super trendy right now and we think this taco falls perfectly into that category.

2. Cantina Chicken Soft Taco
In comparison to the crispy taco which is all about melty, cheesy, creamy goodness, this Cantina Chicken Soft Taco was super fresh. A flour tortilla is filled with the slow-roasted chicken, lettuce, purple cabbage, pico de gallo, avocado ranch sauce and cheddar cheese. The lettuce and purple cabbage add a fresh crunch to this taco and the avocado ranch sauce helps elevate the flavours of those veggies and the chicken. We loved adding extra guacamole to this taco because you can never have too much guacamole.

3. Cantina Chicken Burrito
The Cantina Chicken Burrito is a warm flour tortilla filled with the same ingredients as the soft taco. Although we did enjoy this burrito we enjoyed this combo of ingredients in the soft taco just a bit more. But a burrito is better for a quick meal on the go, so if that’s what you’re wanting, this burrito might be for you.

4. Cantina Chicken Quesadilla
We love a good quesadilla, and this Cantina Chicken Quesadilla was delicious. A flour tortilla with melted grilled cheese on the exterior is filled with slow-roasted chicken, chipotle sauce and a three-cheese blend. Another fantastic melty mashup, we did enjoy this quesadilla however it felt very similar to other quesadillas we’ve had at Taco Bell before. So we recommend this one if you’re craving a classic cheesy chicken treat, but if you’re really looking for a new flavour experience with this Cantina Chicken menu — we recommend trying the Cantina Chicken Crispy Taco. We know we’ll be going back for a second one!
