Recently, Trip Advisor released their top 20 foodie travel destinations for 2023. The survey compiled millions of reviews from foodies like you to find the best of the best foodie must-sees. Some cities may surprise you, others not so much. We’re not particularly picky when good food is involved! 1. Rome, Italy
The home of pasta and good wine, is it any surprise Italy ranked #1 on the list of top food destinations? With endless open-air markets to explore and exceptional restaurants, Rome is a foodie paradise. Some of our favourite recipes come from Italy, like these delicious pasta recipes.
2. Crete, Greece
You feta believe it! Greece had to be at the top of this list. Who can resist the savoury flavours of fresh souvlaki and Greek salad? Crete being the largest island in Greece boasts some of the country’s best variety of cheeses, herbs and seafood – sign us up!
3. Hanoi, Vietnam
If you’re looking for affordable and delicious food, look no further than Hanoi, Vietnam. Known for its bustling streets and vibrant food scene, Hanoi has made a name for itself as a food capital in Asia.

4. Florence, Italy

Tinned fish aficionados, this is your sign! Lisbon is known for romanticizing the tinned fish lifestyle, and although it’s now a TikTok trend, let’s remember who discovered it first. Being a coastal city, Lisbon offers the best in seafood, seafood and more seafood – our favourite.

The laid back city of New Orleans clearly made an impression on travellers over the years! We can’t deny Cajun food is elite – spicy, flavourful and with a whole lot of soul. The home of jazz might also be the capital of great food in the United States.
