Rich chocolate and chocolate chips mixed with smooth, delicious peanut butter and formed into brownies – this is decadence incarnate.

Preheat the oven to 350 F. Lightly grease an 8-inch square pan and line it with parchment paper so that the paper comes up the sides.
In a small saucepot over medium heat, melt the butter and peanut butter together, stirring until smooth. Scrape this into a large mixing bowl and stir in the sugar. Add the eggs one at a time, stirring well after each addition, then stir in the vanilla.
Sift the flour, coco powder and salt over the bowl and stir just until incorporated. Scrape the batter into the prepared pan and sprinkle the top with the chocolate chips. Bake the brownies for 20 to 25 minutes, until the edges just begin to rise a little and the surface of the brownies goes dull. Cool the brownies to room temperature before slicing.
The brownies will keep in an airtight container for up to 4 days.
