Make use of any leftover pastry dough from your holiday or seasonal pies and whip up these easy spiced cinnamon sugar cookies. Have fun making them into your favourite festive shapes and enjoy with a cup of hot tea.

oz pie dough scraps

Tbsp melted butter

Step 1

Preheat the oven to 350ºF. Line a baking sheet with parchment or a silicone baking mat.

Step 2

Combine the sugar and cinnamon in a small bowl. Form the dough scraps into a ball and roll to 1/4 inch thick. Brush with the melted butter and sprinkle with the cinnamon sugar. Cut into shapes with cookie cutters, such as a 2-inch star cutter, and transfer to the prepared baking sheet.

Step 3

Bake until golden, about 12 minutes.
