This easy party beverage is made with Cognac, apple cider and dry sparkling wine, with apple and pomegranate seeds added for extra flavour.

cups apple cider

cup Cognac

apples, peeled cored and julienned

cup pomegranate seeds

(750 mL) bottle cava or other dry sparkling wine, chilled

Step 1
Put the apple cider, cognac and apples in a large pitcher and stir to combine. Chill for at least an hour.
Step 2
Stir most of the pomegranate seeds into the mixture, reserving a few for garnish. Pour in the cava. Pour the sangria into glasses and garnish each with a few pomegranate seeds.
