These viral garlic cream cheese-stuffed bagels are all over social media and for good reason — they’re delicious! The trend involves just a couple of easy steps, and the end result resembles cheesy garlic bread but with a sweeter, softer taste that is nothing short of addictive. However, it’s important to note this recipe is not a TikTok revelation. A similar combination has origins in South Korea, where cream cheese garlic bread rolls have become increasingly popular.
In this viral garlic cream cheese-stuffed bagel recipe, I used an everything bagel from Costco and topped it with grated parmesan, thyme, basil, garlic, and chili oil to bring out the flavours I love most. Feel free to get creative too!

Preheat the oven to 400°F. You can also use an air fryer to get faster and crispier results.
Cut the bagel diagonally three times to make sections in the bagel. Make sure not to cut it all the way through and leave the bottom intact.
Using a knife, add big dollops of cream cheese to each bagel cut.
Melt the butter and whisk in garlic, thyme, basil, and parmesan cheese. Smother the top of the bagel with the melted butter mix and add the bagel to a baking tray. Spread the remaining butter all over it.
Bake for 5 to 10 minutes until golden brown. Serve immediately. Optional: top the bagel with your favourite chili oil or chili crisp.
